The opportunity to handle cells and operate the instruments in an IVF laboratory can highlight this special professional occupation and serve as an excellent introduction to this laboratory specialty. For the interested non-scientist who may be interested in IVF from a medical, nursing, administrative or legal perspective, the workshop is a unique event at which to obtain a foundation in this aspect of reproductive medicine.
